Hi, I’m Sarah!

I named this site Wake Early Crafts after my favorite poem: “Why I Wake Early” (by one of my favorite poets – Mary Oliver). There’s something magical about silently drinking my first cup of coffee and watching the sunrise and Mary captures the feeling perfectly in her poem. It’s like time stands still despite the rising sun telling me otherwise. I also find that feeling while crafting.

I’m always thinking about crafting, coffee, and the morning sun.

Crafting burns away the stress and overwhelming burnout my day job leaves me with. But like all things, sharing it with others is more fun.

That’s what led me to create this site. So, welcome to Wake Early Crafts, and I hope you will find a little slice of joy in doing the projects I share here.
